Whiskey Creek Chesapeakes is a small kennel that strives to breed excellent quality animals. Our philosophy is "breed to improve the breed, not just to produce another litter of puppies." We feel that to "improve the breed" you must prove that your dogs are worthy of being bred. We feel that by showing, hunting and having our dogs in performance sports (obedience, agility, tracking just to name a few) makes them well rounded animals that are versatile and good examples of America's oldest breed.

At Whiskey Creek we know that the "average" person is looking for a excellent quality animal that blends in well with their family. We strive to accomplish that. But we also know that our dogs can and do compete in a variety of performance activities. Out of the two litters that Whiskey Creek has produced, there has been at least one dog per litter that has gone on to earn his/her Champion title as well as having either a hunting title or a rally title.

Whiskey Creek keeps dogs active in AKC and UKC activities. Out of the four dogs Whiskey Creek currently owns there is not one of them that is not titled in an AKC or UKC venue, as a matter of fact, ALL of them are titled in several different venues!

Not only are we active in AKC/UKC activities, but we are a member of our breeds parent club, The American Chesapeake Club (The ACC). We have been active members for over 10 years and follow the ACC "breeders code of ethics."
