Whiskey Creek Chesapeakes currently doesn't have any puppies available, but we are planning a breeding in Spring 2009. For more information, please see bottom of page. If you are looking to add a new member to your family sooner, please contact me and I'll be happy to refer you to some reputable breeders that might currently have litters or are expecting puppies in the very near future.

Whiskey Creek Boone's Frontier (Ch Whiskey Creek Walker's Worth RN x Oak Hill Stormy Monday) This handsome fellow is one of the six puppies out of the Walker X Stormy litter. He resides with his new people, Becky and Kevin and their two little boys. Congratulations Boone for earning your first points (a 3 point major!) as a 7 month old puppy being shown by Kathy in the Bred By Exhibitor class at the Greenville, SC cluster. You sure have grown into a handome boy!

ALL puppies sold from Whiskey Creek will carry the Whiskey Creek prefix in the dogs registered name. All puppies sold from Whiskey Creek are microchipped (AVID), have dew claws removed and come with all AKC papers in order and all registration fees paid. Puppies will be exposed to birds, gunshot, water, and situations outside of the farm. Puppies will be wormed and innoculated according to my vets specifications. Puppies will be fed a raw meat diet.
We feel that breeding dogs is a serious undertaking. We feel that the Chesapeake is one of few retriever breeds that still remains true to its roots of being a dog that can be hunted one day and shown the next. Therefore, if a dog is to be sold as a "breeding" animal we feel that he/she should prove itself in the many venues that Chesapeakes excel in which include showing in the conformation ring, performing in hunt tests and/or field trials, agility, obedience (rally and traditional), tracking, or any of the other activities that are offered by the AKC, UKC, or the Canadian KC (CKC).
Dogs sold as "pet" or "companion" puppies will be sold with "limited registration" papers through the AKC. Buyers that spay/neuter puppies by the time they are two years of age will be reimburse the cost of spaying/neutering the puppy up to $100. In general, dogs that are spayed and neutered are tractable and make excellent family companions.
Dogs sold as "breeding stock" will be sold on a co-owner agreement with the breeder. No dog will be allowed to be bred until ALL health clearances (OFA, CERF, and preferably PRA) are in order. No dog will be allowed to be bred if it has not acquired some sort of a title.
Chesapeakes are a wonderful breed of dog, but they are not for everyone. Please make sure you have done your research before committing yourself and your family to owning one of America's oldest breeds of dogs.
